Classes focus on rhythm, musicality, personal expression, and performance quality while teaching foundational techniques and the latest trends in commercial choreography.

Tap
Tap dancing increases coordination and develops a sense of rhythm and musicality in dance. The dancer’s feet become an instrument of “expression” that creates sounds with the floor. The class varies in styles from Traditional/Broadway Tap, Rhythm Tap (Hoofing) and Acapella.

Ballet/Lyrical Combo
in this Ballet/Lyrical combo class, dancers will build a strong ballet foundation while also exploring the world of lyrical dance. Lyrical dance combines elements of ballet and jazz to create a soft style that emphasizes the storytelling quality of music. An emphasis is placed on grace and fluidity, musicality, and expressiveness to capture emotion through movement.

Jazz
Jazz dance is a fun, expressive dance style that incorporates turns, jumps, and kicks with other steps that are used for all forms of dance. An emphasis is placed on strength, flexibility and conditioning, as well as increasing memory and stamina for progressively complex and high energy combinations.

Acro
Acro dance combines dance technique with fluid acrobatic movements. Unlike the faster and stronger routines of gymnastics, acro dance is meant to enhance the art form of dance and provide the dancers with means of self-expression through smooth, graceful transitions. Dancers will gain strength, flexibility, and tumbling skills.

Contemporary
This is an expressive dance form that combines elements of lyrical, modern, jazz and ballet to express themes through movement. An emphasis is placed on fluidity of movement, floor work, directional and rhythmic changes, and control.
